Heaven Media produced the Subnautica 2 Early Access Pre-Launch Showcase alongside Unknown Worlds Entertainment & KRAFTON Inc., a 90-minute prerecorded developer-driven event livestreamed across YouTube and Twitch, 2 days before the game launched into Early Access.
The livestreams peaked at 32K+ concurrent viewers on Twitch and 14.7K+ on YouTube, with the YouTube showcase video reaching 700K+ people, with 22K+ likes and 2K+ comments.
This was a piece of one of our largest and most sustained social media partnerships to date, spanning the full Subnautica 2 Early Access campaign.
Unknown Worlds asked us to support their Subnautica 2 Early Access campaign with trend-driven, innovative social content to build engagement for the open-water survival game, which has now sold 4M+ copies in the weeks since the Early Access launch!
Our social media team dove into the nearly year-long campaign, creating a variety of creative short-form video content (trailers, memes, cutdowns of owned content, and more).
Our strategy focused on creating trending video content to better engage existing fans, while creating intrigue that expands to new audiences and welcomes players across platforms (and ultimately drive sales of the game across platforms).
Our work on the launch landed us as a finalist for Strategic Partner of the Year at the MCV/DEVELOP Awards 2026.
